Cloud Migration (AWS, Azure, GCP)

At Akross IT, we help businesses seamlessly migrate to leading cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Whether you're moving applications, databases, legacy systems, or entire data centers, we ensure your migration is secure, optimized, and tailored to meet your business and compliance needs.

Our Cloud Migration Services Features

End-to-End Cloud Strategy & Planning
We assess your current infrastructure, business goals, and application portfolio to create a detailed migration roadmap aligned with the right cloud provider.

Support for All Migration Types
From rehosting (lift-and-shift) to replatforming and full cloud-native rearchitecting, we execute the approach that best suits your timelines, budgets, and growth targets.

Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Cloud Expertise
Migrate to AWS, Azure, GCP—or a combination—without service disruption. We enable hybrid models where needed for regulatory or performance reasons.

Secure & Compliant Migration Process
Ensure data protection, encryption, identity access management, and regulatory compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) throughout the migration lifecycle.

Downtime Minimization & Risk Mitigation
We use proven tools and strategies like blue/green deployments, live replication, and rollback systems to reduce risk and minimize downtime.

Post-Migration Optimization & Support
Post-deployment, we fine-tune your cloud workloads for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability—ensuring you make the most of your investment.

Application & Database Modernization
As part of migration, we can modernize legacy systems into containerized, serverless, or microservices architectures for enhanced agility and maintainability.

Our Cloud Migration Process

Discovery and Assessment

We begin by performing a comprehensive analysis of your current IT environment—including infrastructure, applications, databases, dependencies, performance metrics, and security configurations.

We assess your business objectives and compliance requirements to determine the right migration approach. The outcome is a migration readiness report, a risk matrix, and a detailed cloud transition strategy tailored to AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Migration Planning and Roadmap Design

Based on the assessment, we build a detailed migration plan that outlines phases, resource allocations, timelines, rollback strategies, and testing checkpoints.

We choose between rehosting, replatforming, or rearchitecting depending on the app complexity and your goals. For hybrid or multi-cloud needs, we define integrations and service distribution across providers. This phase also includes budget forecasting and cloud cost estimation.

Cloud Environment Setup

Next, we configure your new cloud environment with best practices in networking, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, storage, monitoring, and logging.

We set up cloud-native services like Kubernetes, managed databases, autoscaling, and CDNs. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is used to ensure your environments are reproducible and version-controlled.

Migration Execution

Our engineers migrate workloads in a phased or big-bang approach, depending on your chosen strategy.

We use tools like AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, and Google Cloud Migrate for VMs or databases.

We ensure all dependencies are preserved and services are validated post-migration. Live traffic cutovers are done with zero or near-zero downtime using DNS routing, replication, or load balancers.

Testing and Validation

Post-migration, we run rigorous functional, performance, and security testing to validate the migrated applications and services.

For databases, we perform consistency checks, latency testing, and backup validation. We compare application behavior between legacy and cloud environments to ensure identical or improved performance and UX.

Optimization and Cloud-Native Enhancements

Once stabilized, we optimize the cloud environment for cost, performance, and scalability.

This includes right-sizing compute resources, configuring auto-scaling, enabling caching layers, and implementing cloud-native services like serverless functions, managed queues, or AI tools. We also monitor resource utilization and implement tagging strategies for ongoing cost tracking.

Types of Migrations We Support

Application Migration

Move web apps, APIs, mobile backends, or SaaS platforms to the cloud with minimal downtime and improved performance.

Data & Database Migration

Migrate structured and unstructured data to cloud-native databases like Amazon RDS, Azure SQL, BigQuery, or NoSQL stores like DynamoDB and Firestore.

VM and Infrastructure Migration

Lift and shift virtual machines, on-premise workloads, and legacy servers to IaaS environments in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Dev/Test Environment Migration

Transition your development and QA environments to the cloud for cost savings and better scalability.

Monolith to Microservices Refactoring

Break down legacy systems into scalable, containerized services as part of your cloud migration strategy.
